FURTHER INFORMATION

The Mürz Frein in the Mürzer Oberland Nature Park is a highlight for "dry fly purists" with small line classes! Naturally growing brown trout and grayling are among the special features. Due to the natural bed load, new fascinating impressions await us every year.

Starting in a forest section, with varied trickling stretches and gravel banks, pools with highly washed out banks, the Mürz Frein then meanders through a meadow section with impressive rock formations before arriving at the  waterfall "Totes Weib" at the lower district boundary.

Crystal clear water, a variety of natural impressions that you simply can't get enough of as a fly fisherman or as an accompanying person. A hotspot in Hochsteiermark where you can recharge your batteries with the "nature experience of fly fishing".

What is important to us.....

We promote the native brown trout and protect the grayling all year round.
