Through a lot of fishing and observation time on the most diverse waters in Europe, I recognized very early on, at that time still unknown to many anglers, particularities in the behavior of catfish and completely new approaches to modern catfish fishing. Many methods, fishing techniques and products today can be traced back to my experiences and observations on the water.

Being on the move, getting to know new waters and situations, fishing far from my comfort zone, these are things that drive me and give me a lot of fun and excitement. Nature has fascinated me since my earliest childhood and I quickly discovered the adventure that you could experience with a hook and bait on the water. At first, all types of fish were interesting and thanks to my travel-loving parents, I often got enough opportunities to satisfy my hunger. I have fished in many countries and on many different types of water for a wide variety of fish species. An experience on my home river, the Neckar, had a particularly strong influence on me and determined my future path. When eel fishing I got an unequal opponent on tape. The fish tore the line from the reel, fought persistently and kept striving for the bottom. After a few anxious minutes I managed to land my first catfish. The fish was about a meter long and impressive in appearance. In terms of fighting power, this fish was superior to all other previous catches. From that day on I was fascinated by this fish species and spent every free minute fishing for catfish. Over the years I have also found my profession or rather my vocation in the fishing industry. Today I work as a fishing tackle developer and spend around 200 days and nights on the water. Modern catfish fishing is still my passion and still has a great appeal to me after all these years. Today I can look back on a large number of large catfish caught; around 1000 catfish over two meters long have landed in my boat so far, including 30 fish over 100 kilos. In the last few years I have published 2 books on catfish fishing, written numerous articles for fishing magazines across Europe and started a very successful Angling Youtube channel.

Travel and Surroundings:

I have traveled to many countries and caught fish almost everywhere. The big rivers have a special attraction to me. The river Po in Italy, Ebro in Spain, Volga in Russia, Rhone in France and the Rhine in Germany. These waters offer an adventurous angler all facets and at any time a catfish of more than 260 cm can take the bait and a the drill begins.

In the past few years I've been able to make many great friends with other anglers in foreign countries and today I'm very well connected. Fishing is often more than just catching fish, I experience a feeling of freedom and daily excitement on my tours!
